What are Drops?

A controlled dose of CBD in the form of an edible oil, designed with optimal bio-availability to effectively target your body’s cannabinoid receptors. DROPS are a healthy, accurate and effortless way to provide rapid relief for a wide variety of ailments.

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of many non-psychoactive components of the hemp plant that work in conjunction with the body’s endocannabinoid system. CBD is most commonly known to have anti-inflammatory, anti-anxiety, anti-convulsant, anti-nauseant and anti-psychotic properties.

How does cbd work?

We are all born with an endo-cannabinoid system – a complex network of receptors waiting to receive cannabinoids. These receptors are found throughout the body, most notably in the brain, central nervous system, G-I tract, kidney and bones/joints. This system, present in all humans and many living organisms, works much like a lock and key, where the receptor is the lock, and the keys are different cannabinoids entering your system to match their target. Along with its own long list of benefits, the introduction of CBD to this system releases the flow of anandamide, a naturally occuring cannabinoid, which has its own medical properties.  Regularly administering CBD will help maintain increased levels of anandamide and provide consistent relief to a wide variety of ailments.  (See below)

What is Full Spectrum Extract?

Full Spectrum provides a controlled dose of CBD along with a balanced combination of cannabinoids and terpenes by recreating the levels and ratios naturally occuring in the hemp plant. This plays an important role in a well-known desirable synergistic relationship referred to as the entourage effect.

Entourage Effects

The entourage effect is the mechanism in which cannabinoids’ and terpenes’ individual properties and benefits work together to enhance and amplify the effects of one-another.  Along with CBD, the hemp plant is host to many lesser-known, similarly beneficial cannabinoids that are highly therapeutic in their own way. Terpenes, as well as being responsible for the aroma and flavour profiles in cannabis, provide their own medicinal benefits ranging from anti-carcinogenic to anti-inflammatory properties. See the chart below for a more detailed look at the some of the additional cannabinoids and terpenes in the Full Spectrum DROPS, and their individual benefits.

THC is probably the most well known cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. Though, neither the isolated CBD or Full Spectrum DROPS contain THC, it has shown remarkable results in amplifying and enhancing the advantages of the entourage effect. Along with its own host of medical benefits, THC can provide psychoactive effects. These can be diminished by experimenting with different ratios of CBD to THC. CBD is an antagonistic counterpart to THC, and can help provide a less intense and more well rounded experience, regardless of the delivery method.  (Whether smoking or consuming oils/edibles, CBD DROPS can be used to soften the intensity of your “high”).
